BLNG AI SECURES $3 MILLION SEED FUNDING TO REVOLUTIONIZE JEWELRY DESIGN

Headquartered in Los Angeles, Blng AI also maintains a presence at Paris’ Station F tech hub through LVMH’s accelerator program. A pioneering sketch-to-design generative AI and virtual studio platform for jewelry, has raised $3 million in seed funding. The funding round was spearheaded by Speedinvest, a prominent venture capital firm, with additional backing from Cove Fund, eSeed, and Focal. The fresh capital will fuel Blng AI’s expansion plans, including scaling its teams across Europe and the United States and bolstering production capacity to meet growing demand from luxury brands and independent jewelers alike.

Founded in 2023 by Valérie Leblond Dumëne Comploi, Blng AI is on a mission to transform the jewelry design process by leveraging cutting-edge AI tools. The platform eliminates the need for labor-intensive manual revisions and renderings, enabling designers to seamlessly convert sketches into production-ready designs. Its suite of offerings includes three standout AI-powered solutions: instant design visualization, high-fidelity marketing content generation that bypasses traditional photo shoots, and real-time interactive customization experiences tailored for retail.

Leblond, who brings a rich background as program director of UCLA Architecture and Urban Design’s IDEAS research platform and a decade of experience at Cirque du Soleil, emphasized the company’s long-term vision. “At the same time, we’re laying the groundwork for the next stage of our business by gradually integrating our self-service and enterprise offerings into one unified platform,” she said. The ultimate goal? An AI-driven creative suite that connects designers, manufacturers, and retailers, streamlining collaboration, enabling mass personalization, and slashing time-to-market.
Blng AI’s technological edge is further underscored by cofounder Comploi’s expertise. With a dozen years at Walt Disney Imagineering and Disney Streaming, where he pioneered AI-driven personalized avatars and held 10 engineering patents, Comploi’s contributions span digital-to-physical design and immersive experiences.

The company’s profile soared after a standout demonstration at the French luxury conglomerate LVMH’s booth, where it showcased a Tiffany & Co. ring design rendered in stunningly realistic images. “It led to new enterprise relationships and opened doors to collaborations that might have taken years to build otherwise,” Leblond noted. This exposure has solidified Blng AI’s position as a game-changer in the industry.
